Description: Data was initially collected by the City of Roanoke in 2003 using GPS devices. Data was processed and managed by GIS staff in the Department of Technology. To create this new feature class, Dr. Randy Dymond's Urban Stormwater Research Group used the Append tool to import features from the original feature classes and map their attributes to an updated field schema. Three features in the original "Inlet" feature class failed to transfer because they had no geometry data (X,Y Coordinates).

To create this new feature class, Dr. Randy Dymond's Urban Stormwater Research Group used the Append tool to import features from the original feature classes and map their attributes to an updated field schema. Forty (40) features in the original "pipe_" feature class and nine (9) features in the original "open_channel" feature class failed to transfer because their Shape_Length field value was zero (0). In addition, one (1) feature from the "open_channel" feature class was removed and transferred to the Nodes feature class because it was a slotted drain inlet and not an open channel.

To create this new feature class, Dr. Randy Dymond's Urban Stormwater Research Group used the Append tool to import features from the original feature classes and map their attributes to an updated field schema. Four (4) features from the original "detention_pond" feature class failed to transfer due to empty geometry fields and were excluded. In addition, eight (8) new features were added to represent proprietary and Manufactured Treatment Devices which were found in the Nodes feature class during processing.
